Sub:              Restoration of PID / Federal Govt. Advertisements.

Dear Sirs,

Please refer our Circular No.APNS/2010/109 dated April 29, 2010 wherein you were advised not to publish / release any advertisements of the Federal Government clients.

We are pleased to inform you that a meeting of the APNS Office Bearers with the Federal Minister for Information, Mr. Qamar Zaman Kaira and the Secretary Information, Mr. Mansoor Suhail was held at Karachi wherein the issue of payments towards long outstanding dues against Federal Government departments was discussed in detail. In the meeting, it was decided that a payment of Rs.110 million will be made by PID within next week and the other payment of Rs.140 million will be made within 15 days. The remaining dues will be paid within 30 days after verification by the APNS, PID and AGPR Committee.

In the light of the above assurances, the APNS has decided to withdraw the ban on the advertisements of the Federal Government clients routed directly by PID or any other source with immediate effect.

The member publications and accredited advertising agencies are hereby advised to publish / release the Federal Government advertisements as usual.
