Sub:    Suspension of PID / Federal Govt. Advertisements w.e.f May 02.

Dear Sirs,

Further to our Circular No.APNS/2010/106 dated April 28, 2010, we have to inform you that despite our  notice to the Principal Information Officer (PIO), Government of Pakistan to clear the persistent claims of member publications / advertising agencies latest by 5:00 p.m. on April 29, 2010,  the payment has not been received by the stipulated date instead we have received a vague letter from PIO without any clear commitment to clear the reported dues.

We have therefore, decided to suspend all advertisements of Federal Government departments,  ministries and their divisions and the autonomous and semi-autonomous organizations controlled by the Federal Government routed directly  through the PID or indirectly through the clients w.e.f. May 02, 2010.

We hereby advise our member publications and accredited advertising agencies not to publish / release any advertisement of the Federal Government clients that enjoy Govt./Govt. Commercial rates, routed directly by PID or any other source w.e.f. May 02, 2010. Thus, there should be no advertisements of the Federal Government clients in the issues of May 03, 2010 and onward till advised further.

Please note that any violation of the above directive will be taken seriously and punitive action will be enforced by the Executive Committee.
