Claim of Dues against Federal Govt.

Ref: APNS/2010/138                                                   June 8, 2010

To:      All Concerned Advertising Agencies.

Sub:   Claim of Dues against Federal Govt.

Dear Sirs,

You would appreciate that the APNS is consistently urging upon the Federal Government to clear the reported dues of accredited advertising agencies relating to print media outstanding for the period July 01, 2000 to June 30, 2008.

In this respect, the claims received by the APNS as well as the PID were found incomplete. The APNS had time and again advised the claimant agencies to provide us documents to support their claims but unfortunately, the response was far from satisfactory. Further, the AGPR has raised several objections in the verification process and refused to clear the bills unless, all the documents are provided in original. The APNS had pointed out to the AGPR that the original documents for periods as old as 5 to 10 years could not be provided as the bills were lying with the client departments.

We therefore, request you to kindly send us the following documents :

  • Copies of your invoices duly approved by the PID.
  • Copies of the DROs issued by the PID
  • Copies of the release instructions issued by the clients department.
  • Copies of tear-sheets of the ads as published in newspapers.
  • Copies of acknowledgments / delivery challans for bills submitted to the clients.
  • A statement of the outstanding bills as per following format :

Sr.#     Invoice #          Date of Insertion          PID #       Amount           Status of payment

Please send the above documents to the APNS within 7 days of the receipt of this letter to enable us to proceed further on the issue.

Thanking you,

Yours faithfully,

-s/d-
