M.A. Zuberi is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of Daily Business Recorder was appointed as an apprentice Sub-Editor/Reporter by Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah in Dawn (Delhi) in 1945 and rose to the post of Senior Assistant Editor in January 1947 in which position he continued till the end of 1964. In the year 1951 the management of Pakistan Herald Ltd. brought out the evening Daily Evening Star with him as Editor. In 1965, he brought out the Business Recorder and thus pioneered the establishment of financial journalism in Pakistan. Mr. Zuberi is the founder member of the CPNE and has been its President for a number of years. In recognition of services rendered by Mr. Zuberi the President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan bestowed the award of Sitar-I-Imtiaz on March 31st, 2003.
